We're heading into the water with near-perfect conditions today: clear skies, light northwest winds at 9 km/h, and glassy seas. The morning slack is transitioning into flood tide through Discovery Passage—exactly when aggressive Chinook hunting begins. Water temperature and light conditions are ideal, and the Spring Chinook are filling out beautifully this week at 15–25 lbs.

Spring Chinook are schooling through Campbell River and the Johnstone Strait with consistent energy right now. These fish are strong, acrobatic, and absolutely thrilling on the line.
