Captain Jason is the founder and heart of Fishing Storie Charters. Born and raised in Campbell River, he's spent his entire life on these waters—first as a kid fishing with his father, then as a commercial fisherman, and now as one of the most sought-after charter captains on Vancouver Island.
With over 25 years of guiding experience, Jason has an almost supernatural ability to find fish. His clients often joke that he can "smell" where the salmon are holding. But it's not magic—it's decades of reading tides, currents, water temperatures, and understanding how salmon behave in every condition.

An ultra marathon runner with lightning-quick reflexes honed from extreme endurance sports, he brings the same intensity and focus to every charter. With 24 years of commercial and sport fishing experience, Trevor is extreme in both worlds—whether conquering 100-mile races or setting the hook on a hard-fighting Chinook. His specialty is light tackle fishing for maximum excitement.
Captain Johnnie
Johnnie grew up fishing the waters around Quadra Island and knows every bay, reef, and current like the back of his hand. His infectious enthusiasm and storytelling make every trip entertaining. Guests love his local knowledge and the hidden spots only a lifelong resident would know.
