Current Conditions

Water temperatures in Discovery Passage are sitting around 8-9๏ฟฝC, which is ideal for winter Chinook. We're finding fish in the 8-15 pound range with some larger specimens in the 20+ pound class showing up near Cape Mudge and around Quadra Island.

What's Working

  • Depth: 80-120 feet has been the sweet spot
  • Bait: Cut-plug herring and anchovy are producing well
  • Best Times: Early morning tide changes continue to be most productive
  • Hot Spots: Cape Mudge, Willow Point, and the deeper waters off Quadra Island
