Is 4 hours enough time to catch fish?
Yes! Four hours is plenty of time for beginners to learn the basics and catch salmon. We fish productive spots close to the marina, so you're fishing within minutes of departure. Most guests catch fish on our intro trips.
What ages are appropriate for the 4-hour trip?
Kids as young as 4-5 can enjoy our intro trips with proper supervision. The 4-hour duration is perfect for younger children who might get restless on longer trips. We have life jackets for all sizes.
Do I need any fishing experience?
None at all! This trip is designed for complete beginners. Your guide will teach you everything - how to hold the rod, set the hook, fight the fish, and land your catch. Patient instruction is included.
What boat is used for the 4-hour intro trip?
We use our 17' Boston Whaler Montauk for intro trips. It's a stable, safe boat perfect for calm protected waters. The open design makes it easy to move around and fish comfortably.
Can I upgrade to a longer trip if we're catching fish?
Unfortunately, we can't extend trips on the day due to scheduling. If you're having a great time, we'd love to book you for a longer charter on another day! Many guests return for our 6-hour or half-day trips.
What if my child gets scared or seasick?
We fish in calm, protected waters close to shore. If anyone feels unwell, we can return to the marina quickly. We recommend bringing ginger candies or Gravol for kids prone to motion sickness.
